Day 6| Rest Day and return to the Capital Island, Mahe

We had initially planned a half day fishing trip with Robert today. However, yesterday was so tiring that we decided to relax at our own beach, i.e Cote-de-Or Beach and call it a day on Praslin Island.

We woke up late and just about managed to reach the Fregate’ restaurant in time for the breakfast. We borrowed the beach towel from the Hotel and walked to our beach, where we had a beach recliner to rest upon. We had a calm day clicking around pictures of the Hotel and taking a swim. To be honest, Cote-d-Or was also one of the beaches, where one would like to swim, because of its nice warm water and small waves giving you a swimming pool like feel.

We had our lunch at the beach restaurant only, as we had to check out by 2 PM. Mason’s bus came in time to pick us from Hotel, and we proceeded to Jetty to say goodbye to our stay at Praslin Island. Our Ferry was due to leave by 5:00 PM.

We saw the sun setting as we reached the Mahe Island, and it was already late evening. We were taken to Berjaya Beach Resort & Casino, Mahe Island.

First thing to note here was the unfriendly staff. The hotel seemed crowded as too many people were waiting in the reception lobby and we were praying that this Hotel does not turn out to be a bad option.

After a streak of formality procedures and a deposit of 200 Euros, we were finally given keys to our room.
The hotel had its pros and cons. More cons though, so you can read its detailed review here.

We had the dinner at the Hotel only as we decided to explore the area tomorrow morning, when a Mason’s agent was scheduled to meet us.
